Shane’s western Nebraskan roots, a deep-seated connection to his family’s ranch near Rushville, NE, and a love for the land led him to obtain both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in agricultural and biological systems engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
During his time at UNL, Shane worked as an engineering assistant in the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab and interned at Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing. For his master’s thesis, he performed testing on nozzle setup and restriction effects on flow, pressure, and spray pattern distribution.
After earning his master’s degree, Shane moved to Kearney, NE, and launched his career at BluePrint Engines where he performed research and development of engine manufacturing. Shane continued his education and obtained a Master's in Business Administration. He went on to work in a sourcing development engineering role at Lincoln Industries.
For Sentinel, Shane is growing our Sentry Network, building relationships with certified service providers, farmers, and industry stakeholders, and working to increase the impact of N-Time.
Shane possesses a pilot’s license and can often be found flying his Piper Super Cub, hunting the Nebraska panhandle or enjoying Lake McConaughy. Any other free time is devoted to training for triathlons or walking the trails of Pioneers Park with his wife, Olivia, and Boykin Spaniel, Ryleigh.
